Acorn NMR has recently acquired a Varian Inova 500 spectrometer.  Instrument qualification is still in progress. 

Features:

• Multi-nuclear
• Variable temperature
• several probes, both direct and inverse
• 5mm and 3mm diameter probes.  Preliminary experiments with the 3mm probe indicate that it will be possible to get ¹H spectra on as little as 5 μg of a small molecule.  Sample volume in 3mm tubes is about 180 μL.
